“From the air Anguilla looks narrow and flat, but looks are deceiving. The island is spectacular, the culinary is delightful and the people are as warm as the Caribbean sunshine”

Discover Anguilla

Thinking about the Caribbean brings thoughts of sunshine, warm weather, beautiful beaches, rich culture and pure relaxation. The Caribbean offers so much choice and Anguilla is an absolute gem amongst the region. This British Overseas Territory is around 50 minutes flying time from Antigua and a stone’s throw from St Martin, both of which welcome international flights several times per week.

Anguilla is a place where crystal clear waters wash up onto endless stretches of white sand beach. Perched at the tip of the Caribbean Sea, Anguilla packs a lot into its 35 square miles. An island of panoramic landscapes, warm, friendly people, come-as-you-are culture, incredible dining and 33 of the world’s most immaculate beaches. An island of warm temperatures, stunning sunsets and uninhabited cays.

With a tempting array of accommodation from luxurious first-class resorts, private villas, boutique hotels and intimate guest houses, deciding where to stay is likely to be the biggest challenge of your stay.

When it comes to good food, Anguilla offers an abundance of choice with some 120 dining options. From breezy beachfront bistro to stylish international restaurants and roadside grills, created by talented international chefs and self-taught cooks, Anguilla is a true culinary paradise.

One of the world’s ultimate treasures, come here to lose the crowds and find yourself.

TRAVELLING TO ANGUILLA

While Anguilla lies slightly off the beaten path – which is a large part of its charm - it can be conveniently reached from four major gateways: Miami, FL (MIA), Puerto Rico (SJU), Antigua (ANU) and St. Martin (SXM).

Scheduled international airline services, inter-island airlines, private jet, and local boat services from St. Martin make Anguilla just a hop and a skip away.

Getting there from the UK

There are two main routes – one via Antigua (ANU) and the other via St Martin (SXM). BA and Virgin Atlantic offer direct routes from the UK to Antigua (flying time 8 hours). KLM/Air France fly from several regional airports around the UK via Paris or Schiphol to St Martin (flying time 10 hours).

From Antigua, the usual onward journey will be via a 50-minute inter-island transfer, with regional airlines including Anguilla Air Services, Trans Anguilla Airways or Tradewind Aviation. All three carriers also offer private charter services from islands across the Caribbean region.

From St Martin, travellers can take the world’s shortest commercial flight (just 7 minutes long) or a private boat charter across to Anguilla.

The private charter terminal is just a few minutes from the airport on the Dutch side of the island (St Maarten), and your charter crew will meet you at the airport to escort you there to your boat. Charter companies include Fun Time Charters, Calypso Charters, GB Express and Link Ferry Service.
The crossing takes approximately 30 minutes and is an incredibly special way to arrive, taking in the fabulous views of the island as you approach.

There is also a public ferry service that runs from Marigot, St Martin approximately 8 times per day. The Marigot ferry terminal is approximately 15 minutes’ drive from the airport.

All boat services arrive on Anguilla at the new Blowing Point Ferry Terminal, opened in 2023. Our Little Harbour villas Indigo and Le Bleu are less than ten minutes from Blowing Point, while the Beach House takes just slightly longer to traverse the island to Meads Bay (around 15 minutes).

Getting there from the US

American Airlines offers a direct service from Miami International Airport to AXA, as well as a codeshare with British Airways.
